The slogan for Dove is "Exploring Creativity & Building Confidence and WOW did Dove do this recently.

Dove had the Honour of performing at Waddesdon Manor a national Trust property previously owned by the Rothschilds. Each year they run an event called Mad@Waddesdon. Dove got a performance slot and so on sunday 30th June 2013 they performed "A wonderful World" .

rainbow wigs were put on - amidst much laughter and as they stood on the steps waiting to perform (some for the first time) the nerves started to kick in, but a few encourageing words from their Drama Teacher and all settled. they hit the stage with gusto and much to the delight of the cheering crowd performed perfectly.

then came the second piece - a flute sol by heather - who had never done anything blike this before. stage fright was soon overcome and she stepped into the brilliant sunslight and with support from charlie-ann (Junior volunteer at Dove) counting her in - she performed her piece note perfect ! everyone was so proud and in that moment her confidence soared much to the delight of her family. next came a solo by Emily singing "its a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong whilst her co-Dovettes performed around her.

WOW - they all did so well and the spring in their step and the BIG Smiles afterwards was evident of how much they enjoyed the experience - well done everyone you were amazing! (pic of our flute soloist to follow)
