• Lest we forget Roadshow - remembering the War, Honouring Heroes Past 7 Present

Dove Creative Arts group and young people from across Aylesbury in partnership with Aylesbury town council have up two days of their half term to visit visit four homes providing music song and dance from the war years as well as interviewing many OAPs about their experiences of war and capturing voice memories.

Some amazing stories were shared and the young people involved did their town proud - special thanks to George Winsborrow for capturing the event so beautiful

r 150 poppies with memories and remembering were created and collected for display in Aylesbury County museum.

It was wonderful to see the interaction between all ages - the young people still talk about it - it made a lasting impression on them, & the looks on the faces of The Oaps was one of delight & joy & at time saddness as they recalled the war years.

one married couple of 70 years won the hearts of the young people & kept them enthralled with many a story.

A great event with lasting effects. Our thanks to Judith Heberer from Aylesbury Town Council who co-ordinated the event & a huge thankyou to the young people, who sang, Danced, spoke & interviewed for a full two days - You did your Town Proud
