• Panto - a success story of Community Working together

Panto 2015. A Tale Of Two Alices

one of the aims of the charity - Creative Arts Element is - To Make The Arts Accessible to All, so each year we do a community panto free admission to the residents of Aylesbury to & the cast made up of members of the local community. This Year our youngest cast member was 4 years old and our oldest was 78 years old.

Preparation for this panto had began in earnest early July. The concept , the costumes, the sets.

Open Auditions were held & the cast Finally chosen.

As always the performance was outstanding, Some fist timers stole the show, Who.can forget "TREACLE" or "THE FLOUR SCENE" or the rabbit getting stuck down the Rabbit Hole. well done to all performers!

350 people came through the doors

The Real success of this years panto lies in what happened behind the stage.. Jill our costume mistress who had never done anything like it in her life! , produced the most Amazing costumes , as well as creating some eyecatching Set pieces. Jills family & friends unleashing thier creative talents , especially Amy & producing sets out of this world!. you are AMAZING we were truely grateful for your hard work.

The teams of Mums & Dads that worked hard on the day of the performance in the "HEARTS CAFE" & Kim the Queen of the Raffle who did a fab job., so many worked so hard on the day behind scenes that it is really too many to mention, it was a real community effort!, to the lady who offered to print programmes, to the make up artists (first timers too! ) you were incredible

it really was something else, to witness such a diverse group of people coming together with that one aim.

The resounding comments from this years panto was from the audience , "This was the best ever" "you should be at Waterside" "this is just like a great big family in here".

it is by going beyond ourselves & looking out for others that really we find a purpose and place in our communiy.

Thankyou to all Involved & Guess what I have started writing Panto 2016 - Oh yes I have
